Preservation Greensboro Incorporated saves our community's historic and architectural treasures. As the only citywide non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation, PGI works diligantly accomplish this important goal. The Music at the Mansion September concert series is an opportunity to celebrate the heritage of music on the grounds of the historic Blandwood Mansion. The entire family will enjoy great food and tunes! 100% of proceeds from this special event series go to Preservation Greensboro Incorporated.
Educational Outreach
In partnership with the Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency, we encourage children to excel in education by rewarding hard work with new school supplies and laptops.
A female 2010 graduate of The Early College at Guilford, held the lucky key that unlocked the door to the grand prize of a new 2011 Scion xB. She was among more than 400 Guilford County Schools (GCS) graduates that qualified to win the car and other high-tech prizes at the Rice Toyota Cool to Be Smart event Sunday. Thanks to Rice Toyota, Dzugan drove home in the new car, with taxes, tags and title included. Since 2002, Cool to Be Smart has recognized and rewarded graduates who challenged themselves by taking rigorous courses in high school. With the difficult economic climate in 2009, GCS lost funding for the event. Businesses for Excellence in Education, realizing the impact of the event, renewed its commitment this year. Students were eligible to attend by passing at least five AP or International Baccalaureate (IB) exams during high school. A passing score is three, four or five on AP exams and four through seven on IB exams. Many students in attendance won Apple iPod Nanos, iPod Shuffles, iPod Touches and iPads. All students received iTunes gift cards and AP/IB diplomas.

Helping Homeless Pets
Abandoned and neglected pets are in more need of our help today than ever before. We promote and host bi-annual animal adoption fairs with the Triad SPCA, collect dog and cat food for local shelters, and participate in fundraising events benefitting the Triad SPCA. The SPCA of the Triad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill, animal rescue group located in Greensboro, NC. Check out our photos from the Rice Toyota Memorial Day 2010 Pet Adopt A Thon here!

Chamber Music Series
Leopold Stokowski said, "A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence." We contribute to The Greensboro Symphony’s programs for education and outreach aim to bring the experience and understanding of music to the greater community. We proudly support the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Chamber Music Series.
